Offerte aanvragenDe naam Porfier komt uit het oude Grieks en betekent paars, een kleur die vaak voorkomt in dit soort gesteenten, samen met rood, bruin en grijs. Het is dit gesteente dat de inspiratie vormde voor de Porfirica-collectie.
Porfier is een magmatisch materiaal dat ontstaat door het afkoelen van lavastromen. Het heeft een zeer gevarieerde, complexe samenstelling, waarop een “porfiritische” structuur ontstaat die ook mineralen en kristallijne elementen bevat. Deze bijzondere eigenschap is weergegeven in twee patronen: een fijne korrelversie geïnspireerd door de originele steen en een grovere korrel van geagglomereerd materiaal.
Het steeneffect porseleinen steengoed van Coem brengt prestige en waarde terug naar deze steen, dankzij drie afwerkingen: ongepolijst, halfgepolijst en voor buitengebruik, met 5 intense kleuren en twee texturen die creatieve composities op vloeren en wanden mogelijk maken.
